Guerlain Shalimar Philtre de Parfum Eau de Parfum
Details
Shalimar is the first oriental in the history of perfumery. Inspired by the story of an intense love between Emperor Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal, Shalimar, which means "Temple of Love" in Sanskrit, forever symbolizes the essence of desire, the promise of eternal love.
The myth continues with Shalimar Philtre de Parfum. An Eau de Parfum as the quintessence of sensuality associated with Shalimar.
A very soft variation thanks to the velvety powdery notes, like a refined and addictive potion.
Oriental. Refined, sensual, addictive.
Philtre de Parfum extends the myth by magnifying the velvety facets of iris and the sensuality of vanilla, for a soft trail like a refined and addictive potion.
A flight of lavender, lemon and bergamot exhale a breath of freshness in the head. The floral heart is warmed by enveloping and delicately powdered notes of iris, jasmine and rose. At the base, patchouli and tolu balm add a bewitching dimension to the gourmand warmth of vanilla, orchestrating an ultra-sensual symphony.
Four centuries ago, in India, the emperor Shah Jahan fell madly in love with the princess Mumtaz Mahal. He created for her the marvelous gardens of Shalimar, then dedicated to her the Taj Mahal, one of the new seven wonders of the world. This incredible story fired the imagination of Jacques Guerlain, who in 1925 created Shalimar, the first oriental perfume in history.
