THE CREATION
Eau d'Hermès is the first fragrance of the House of Hermès. Created in 1951 by perfumer Edmond Roudnitska, it evokes "the interior of a Hermès bag where the aroma of a perfume floats".

OLFACTIVE NOTES
A citrusy, spicy fragrance, Eau d'Hermès is an eau de toilette in which the brightness of lemon petitgrain and the fiery energy of cardamom combine with the warmth of cinnamon.

THE OBJECT
Inspired by the lanterns of the cars of yesteryear, the bottle is topped with a black cap that echoes the bombshell of the horsemen. The label on the back is illustrated with a drawing by Philippe Dumas, a sign of belonging to the Parfums-Fondateurs collection.

Created in 1951 by Edmond Roudnitska, Eau d'Hermès is the first fragrance of the house, based on a spicy floral citrus theme. It was inspired by the evocation of a wonderful and sensitive scent: "The inside of a Hermès bag, where the aroma of a perfume floated... A note of fine leather goods coated with fresh citrus and spices", commented the composer at the time.
