THE CREATION
Created by Christine Nagel, Hermès perfumer, Un Jardin à Cythère is a surprising garden, neither green nor flowery, but... blond. The expression of an olfactory quest through the Peloponnese that leads to Kythera, a preserved Greek island that has inspired many artists.
OLFACTIVE NOTES
A citrusy, woody fragrance, Un Jardin à Cythère combines the enveloping character of grasses with the strength of olive wood and the tenderness of fresh pistachio.
THE OBJECT
Designed by Fred Rawyler, the bottle is inspired by the lines of the lanterns of old-fashioned cars. The glass is animated by a luminous yellow gradation, echoing the sunny fragrance. On the case, artist Elias Kafouros sketches a colorful landscape of his native land: the golden grass, the green of the olive trees, the pink of fresh pistachios and, in the background, the blue of the sea.
