Details

Shock is a trademark of Jean-Paul Gaultier, it is a mischievous signature that leads to writing long texts in major fashion magazines, and a whole lot of horrified expressions in the best educated circles. And for good reason! Through his creations, whether in Haute-Couture, or in perfumery, this genius plays, no matter the times, with our prohibitions. In particular those concerning sexuality, glamour, and the prudish aesthetic morality. So, after having graced us with a "Classique" perfume, with the generous shapes of his famous bustier, he presents us with "Scandal", which, as its name indicates, is destined to make people talk in Parisian salons. And why? Because it breaks the code of the delicate, refined and slightly blushing Parisian woman. Under this fragrance, the woman is sensual, greedy, eager to experience. With a honey-gardenia accord, Scandal reveals a woman who is quite charming and dynamic, but with the honey-patchouli accord, she sneers at our naivety, and dances on our beliefs that the woman, this woman, is as docile as "propriety" would have it. And to accompany this desire to break all the codes still in place, Gaultier unveils a bottle that, contrary to his habit, will present us with a pair of legs, fine, chiseled. Summer arrives, and we unveil the bottom, these legs, thighs, calves ... Ankles! That during so many years, the woman had the duty to hide. A scandalous nudity which claims loud and clear that this perfume is that of freedom: the freedom to enjoy a body which does not wish to hide anymore. Designed by Daphne Bugey in association with Fabrice Pellegrin and Christophe Raynaud, we find in Scandal "fresh and gourmand honey that smells good gardenia and blood orange.
