Fascinated by perfumery, Patrick Mauboussin, then head of the brand in the 90s, suggested creating a "jewel perfume", highlighting French expertise in the field. The idea of the then CEO became an unexpected and touching attention when the Sultan of Brunei was presented with a series of perfumes, each bottle bearing his name.
